Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Support & Progression Officer to join our Quarry View Team based in Barnsley.
Base Pay Range
* Contract: Permanent, Part Time (20 hours per week)
* Salary: £13,645.33 – £16,161.00 per annum
* Closing Date: 17 November 2025

About Centrepoint
We help vulnerable young people by providing practical and emotional support to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills to get them back into education, training and employment. We aim to end youth homelessness by 2037 and support over 16,000 young people each year.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Create and consistently update personalised action plans/risk assessments for each Young Person, providing guidance during key work sessions and interventions.
* Assist young individuals in enhancing life skills by utilising Life Wise modules, fostering independence, and facilitating access to training opportunities.
* Maintain written records, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, Ofsted regulations and GDPR.
* Work alongside internal departments to maintain the building, health & safety, including void preparation in rooms and flats.
* Support Young People with collection of Personal Service Charge and Budgeting Skills.
* Sign post to external agencies for additional support in areas such as mental health and substance misuse.
* Motivate and engage young people in group activities.
