· Carry out stage inspections to verify product quality and performance.
· Conduct functional testing of circuit boards using test jigs, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to verify performance and identify faults.
· Perform precise hand soldering of surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole (THT) components on PCBs using detailed work instructions.
· Safely and effectively operate soldering and rework equipment, including soldering irons, desoldering tools, and microscopes.
· Perform thorough visual inspections of solder joints and assemblies to identify and correct issues such as solder bridges, cold joints, voids, and misaligned components.
· Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and health & safety regulations.
· Work closely with Engineering teams to resolve production challenges and refine processes.
· Maintain a safe, organised workspace in line with 6S and safety protocols.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production and testing.

· A sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality.
· Solid communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
· Experience in a production or test environment (battery or electronics experience is a plus)
· Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing, ideally within a high-reliability or regulated industry such as automotive, aerospace, defence, or electronics manufacturing.
· Confident soldering PCBs and using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and verify circuit board functionality.
· Have a methodical approach to problem-solving and fault diagnosis.
· Comfortable working from technical drawings and documentation.
· Take pride in producing high-quality work and continuously seek ways to improve.
Why Altertek?
