Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting a Nursery Teaching Assistant to support a warm, welcoming nursery setting with in a Primary School in the Thornton area. If you have a passion for early years education and love helping little learners thrive, we would love to hear from you!
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing and reliable individual to join a dedicated early years team. In this role, you will:
* Support children aged 3–4 in their learning and development
* Assist with play‑based activities that encourage communication, curiosity and independence
* Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
* Work closely with the class teacher and wider nursery staff
* Provide support with personal care routines where required
* Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
This is a full‑time position (Mon–Fri), ideal for someone looking for consistent hours within a supportive nursery environment.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with early years children (school, nursery, childminding or similar)
* A caring, patient and proactive approach
* Strong communication skills
* A willingness to get involved and support all areas of nursery life
* Level 2/3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
* A child‑only enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
