The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is now recruiting for a Deputy Head Housekeeper. The hotel is set on the vibrant Brighton seafront in a beautiful 1890’s building
The hotel compromises of 321 guest bedrooms, 24 meeting rooms, 3 restaurants, health club with indoor pool and sauna.

Annual salaryranging from £30,000 to £33,000 DOE

We are now recruiting for a DeputyHead Housekeeperat the stunning DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole. The hotel was refurbished last year and is host to both corporate and leisure clientele. It is well positioned, right on Brighton's seafront, and just a 15 minute walk from Brighton Train Station.
What will I be doing?
As a DeputyHeadHousekeeper, you will be responsible for assisting with overseeing housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An DeputyHeadHousekeeper will also be required to assist theHeadHousekeeper and monitor standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
14. Assist with overseeing Housekeeping operations
15. Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules
16. Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
17. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
18. Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities
19. Assist the Executive Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers
20. Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
21. Ensure ongoing training to support Executive Housekeeper
22. Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
23. Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
24. Support managing, training and developing the Front Office team
25. Deputise in absence of Executive Housekeeper
26. Assist other departments wherever necessary

27. Housekeeping experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a managerial or supervisory capacity
28. High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
29. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
30. Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
31. Ability to work under pressure
32. High level of IT proficiency
33. Excellent grooming standards
34. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
35. Familiar with Property Management Systems
36. Experience managing a department and Profit and Loss account
