As one of our Area Sales Managers, you’ll play a pivotal role in proactively identifying and promoting business opportunities for new equipment solutions, short term rental, used trucks and service in the Midlands & North West region.
Reporting to the UK & Ireland Country Director, this position requires a proven sales person who can cultivate and nurture professional relationships with new customers and existing customers to drive profitable sales growth in the region.
What Are Your Key Responsibilities
* Territory & Opportunity Management: Identify and promote all business opportunities—including new trucks, short-term rentals, and used equipment—within your assigned territory to drive market share and business development.
* Strategic Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, multi-level relationships with both existing customers and new prospects, ensuring a deep understanding of their business segments and application needs.
* Consultative Solution Selling: Assess specific customer requirements to propose appropriate products and services, utilising value-based selling techniques to create customised commercial offers.
* Negotiation & Sales Execution: Lead customer negotiations on pricing and delivery within your authority levels, concluding sales orders to consistently meet or exceed revenue, margin, and budget targets.
* Market Intelligence & CRM Integrity: Monitor market trends and competitor activity while ensuring all business activities, leads, and customer feedback are accurately recorded and managed within the CRM tool.
* Forecasting & Performance Reporting: Develop short- and long-term demand forecasts and provide regular reports to the Head of Sales regarding outcomes, deviations, and potential growth plans.

What You Bring To The Role
* Qualifications: Ideally you’ll have a degree level education, or equivalent experience and a proven record of success in sales.
* Safety Commitment: Strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
* Business and Market Mindset: A self‑starter with enthusiasm and drive, you’ll have proven ability in identifying and converting opportunities into sales and be able to develop sales strategy and sales plans.

* Customer Focus: Attentive to customer needs and market dynamics you’ll be adept in building and maintaining relationships.
