Reed Education is currently recruiting School Caretakers to support a range of schools across Doncaster. We have a variety of long-term and short-term opportunities, offering flexibility to suit your availability, including split shifts and full-day roles.
Pay
* From £14.50 per hour, depending on experience and role requirements
The Role
As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained. Responsibilities may include:
* Opening and closing school buildings
* Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks
* Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
* Supporting health and safety compliance on site
* Liaising with school staff, contractors, and visitors
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in facilities management or caretaking
* Strong DIY and maintenance skills
* A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative
* Willingness and ability to obtain a full Enhanced DBS check
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge and understanding of:
* COSHH
* Asbestos awareness
* Fire safety and compliance
