About the Role
As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children. You will act as a key person, build strong relationships with families, and support the ongoing development of the staff team.
This is a full-time position, working between 7:30am and 6:00pm. Due to the rural location, access to your own transport is preferred, as the nursery is not on a direct bus route.
Key Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
* Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
* A nurturing, caring approach with a passion for supporting childrens emotional wellbeing
* Ability to lead, motivate and support a small team
Responsibilities
* Maintain the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children at all times
* Ensure daily routines and procedures are followed consistently
* Oversee all health, hygiene, and safety processes
* Lead the planning of stimulating indoor and outdoor activities
* Create and maintain high-quality Continuous Provision
* Act as a key person, ensuring effective xsngvjr planning and observations for each child
* Support new starters with settling-in sessions and manage smooth room transitions
* Assist in planning events and Stay & Play sessions
