Job Purpose
As a psychologist, you’ll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with education, residential and clinical colleagues to ensure that therapeutic approaches are embedded across all aspects of care and learning.
You will support the delivery of comprehensive assessments, inform intervention planning, and provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to school and residential teams. Your expertise will help to create safe, nurturing, and therapeutically informed environments where children and young people can develop their emotional, social, and cognitive skills.

You will be responsible for:
* Providing specialist psychological assessments and formulations for children and young people with complex needs.
* Designing and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* Supporting the wider team to create trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and neuro-affirming environments.
* Offering consultation, reflective practice, and training to staff to embed clinical thinking into everyday practice.
* Supporting ongoing professional development of staff through training sessions and clinical insights.
* Producing high-quality reports and contributing to EHCPs, reviews, and multi-disciplinary planning.
* Maintaining accurate records and engaging in ongoing CPD.
* Contributing to service and practice development and championing a relational, strengths-based approach.
* Ensuring all interventions comply with relevant clinical, professional, and legal standards.
Requirements
You must be:
* A qualified Clinical, Educational, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC.
* Experienced in working with children and young people with complex needs.
* Confident in psychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention.
* Skilled in providing consultation and support to multidisciplinary teams.
* Passionate about achieving the best outcomes for young people.
* Organised, collaborative and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
* A car driver, as travel across sites may be required.
