Steel Contract Manager

Prime Appointments is recruiting a Steel Contract Manager to oversee full contract lifecycles within a leading structural steel business. This role involves managing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring all contracts are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. The position requires strong leadership, solid project management capability, and experience within the structural steel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring all deadlines, deliverables, and compliance requirements are met
Work closely with internal teams to gather information for contract preparation and execution
Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions
Maintain accurate, organised documentation for all contracts and associated records
Provide contract-related support and guidance to team members
Conduct contract audits, identify process improvements, and mitigate risksRequired Skills:
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Excellent time management, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in project management methodologies for handling multiple contracts
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain positive stakeholder relationships
Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilitiesQualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in contract management or a similar role
Experience within the structural steel industry (essential)
Solid understanding of project management principles
