Training Officer Location: Ipswich & Colchester Hospitals (with travel across the contract as required) Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum Contract: Permanent About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Training Officer to deliver high-quality learning and development activities for Sodexo staff across Ipswich and Colchester Hospitals. This role plays a key part in ensuring all training is compliant with internal policies, client agreements, and statutory requirements, while supporting operational excellence and a strong Health & Safety culture. Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will facilitate engaging training sessions, manage training administration, and provide accurate management information to support contractual KPIs. Key Responsibilities Deliver statutory, mandatory, and operational training in line with Sodexo policy and Schedule 20 of the project agreement Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions both face-to-face and virtually Coordinate and administer training programmes, including scheduling, venues, and attendance Maintain accurate training records and provide timely management information Support training needs analysis and the development of learning solutions Evaluate training effectiveness and support continuous improvement Promote and embed aZero HarmHealth & Safety mindset in all training activities Build effective working relationships with site teams, clients, and external partners Ensure all training materials remain current and compliant using standardised templates Key Performance Indicators Statutory and mandatory training compliance above 95% Accurate and timely reporting against agreed formats Delivery of effective learning solutions aligned to business needs Compliance with Schedule 20 and company standards About You Essential: Experience delivering training or learning and development services Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels Experience working to strict KPIs and contractual requirements GCSEs, A Levels, or equivalent relevant experience Ability to influence performance at peer level Desirable: CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Learning & Development Experience supporting a multi-service environment Coaching and facilitation experience Experience supporting training function development or staff mobilisation What we offer: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
