Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Living Places business unit working on our successful Highways Maintenance Contract .
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will:
1. Manage commercial team members including Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Administrators
2. Ensure accurate and robust management of Subcontractor accounts including overseeing any dispute resolution
3. Value maximisation including management of change control within main contract
4. Prepare Payment Applications and ensuring cash flow targets are met
5. Assist Project Team with Commercial analysis and guidance
6. Provide key support to the Contracts Manager and Head of Commercial in order to complete annual budget and monthly reforecast
7. Carry out profit and loss reporting and providing analysis to the Head of Commercial and Senior Leadership Team.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
8. Relevant professional qualifications and / or experience in Quantity Surveying
9. NEC3 Contract experience desirable
10. Civil Engineering/Highways background
11. Ability to generate, develop and manage Professional services agreements and obligation
12. A well-organised and self-motivated individual with good inter-personal skills.
