As an Allocations Officer your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Advertise, shortlist and allocate Mid Devon Housing properties in accordance with the Devon Home Choice scheme.
* Conduct viewings and pre vacate inspections in our properties across the Mid Devon area.
* Work with prospective tenants to ensure that they are able to sustain their new tenancies, undertaking affordability assessments and signposting or making referrals to other agencies as needed.
* Carry out sign up appointments with new tenants ensuring they understand the tenancy conditions and organising handover of the keys.
* To undertake various administrative tasks in relation to the allocations process ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
* Process mutual exchange applications in accordance with relevant legislation to support our tenants wishing to transfer to an alternative property.
