The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Cost Analyst to join our team!
As a Lead Cost Analyst, you will manage a team of Cost Analysts and work closely with Project Managers.
We are looking for a strong people manager with a proven track record of leading, coaching, and motivating teams.
You will
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Lead, develop, and grow the skills and capability of the Cost Analysts through performance management. Drive success within the team by ensuring procedures are followed.
* Identify improvements to the operational job closure process in line with regulatory requirements. Work with Delivery Project Managers to investigate refund and overspend reasons and anomalies. Ensure adherence to Ofgem guidelines while maximizing gross profit.
* Monitor the financial performance of a programme of Connections work, including successful financial management of projects.
* Lead the financial function, establishing project controls and reporting to support successful delivery through Project Managers.
You have
To be considered, you should have:
* Previous experience as a cost analyst and good understanding of how a DNO or similar market operates, including financial operations and reporting.
* Experience with governance and gateway requirements for project expenditure to manage projects within time and budget. Use your financial knowledge to forecast income and expenditure.
* A relentless desire to identify problems and resolve issues to drive lean processes.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of PROMIS and Harmony is advantageous but training will be provided.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Management experience is beneficial but not essential.
