The postholder will provide advanced, autonomous specialist nursing care for patients requiring intestinal failure and artificial nutrition support across hospital and community settings, managing a complex caseload from referral through assessment, treatment, review, and follow up.
The postholder will lead nurse‑led clinics, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and act as a key point of contact for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care. The role also includes offering expert clinical advice, supporting discharge planning, and promoting patient education and self‑management. In addition, the postholder will demonstrate strong clinical leadership, contributing to service development, audit, quality improvement, education, and research, while supporting staff development and ensuring practice aligns with national standards and Trust policies.
