About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and highly experienced Home Manager to take full responsibility for the leadership and management of a high-quality, privately operated 33-bed nursing home. This is a very confidential opportunity for a committed individual with a proven track record in managing elderly care services.
Service Overview
* Care Setting: Nursing Home - Maximum of 33 residents
* Care Types Provided:
o Older Person Care
o Dementia Care
o Physical Disabilities
o Permanent and Respite Placements
o Palliative/End of Life Care
o Parkinson's Disease
o Stroke Rehabilitation
o Convalescent Care
* Regulator: Care Quality Commission (CQC)
* Residents' Age Group: Primarily 65+
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Governance & Compliance
* Ensure the home operates in full compliance with all CQC regulations and legal frameworks
* Monitor clinical quality through audits, observations, and continuous improvement plans
* Manage and respond to safeguarding concerns and incidents effectively
* Ensure best practices are maintained in medication administration, infection control, and end-of-life care
* Take full responsibility for health and safety across the home
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Clinical Lead in a nursing home environment
* Understanding of person-centred care and dignity in care for older adults
* NMC PIN (Registered Nurse) preferred but not essential
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or willingness to achieve it)
Desirable
* Experience managing homes with dementia and end-of-life care provision
* Knowledge of financial management in a care setting
* Proven experience in turnaround/improvement roles (CQC-rated services)
