Applicants must already be Qualified Pharmacy Dispensers.
Main duties of the job
As an Experienced Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be friendly and organised with a passion for providing excellent customer and dispensary services. You must be prepared to work in a high-pressured environment.
Your main responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth running of the dispensary, dispensing medication effectively and safely, and managing stock levels.
There will also be potential for additional hours to cover sickness and holidays.

Job responsibilities
The core responsibilities of a Senior Dispenser include, but are not limited to:
* Checking all medicines dispensed for discrepancies
* Dispensing medicines safely and accurately
* Collecting prescription charges according to protocol
* Maintaining stock levels, liaising with the dispensary lead for reordering
* Receiving and storing supplies, ensuring cold chain maintenance where applicable
* Dispensing controlled drugs per policy
* Safely disposing of returned or out-of-date medicines
* Processing all repeat prescriptions within 48 hours
* Providing advice to patients on prescriptions
* Handling prescription requests via email, phone, fax, face-to-face, and online
* Assisting in preparing monthly returns
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Keeping accurate records and read coding entries
* Managing stock levels to minimize wastage and expenditure
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of one year's experience as a dispenser or technician
* NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent qualification recognized in the UK
* Experience with SystmOne
