Overview
Mercia Utility Services are looking for people who are empathic, caring individuals, that have a confident and personable manner to carry out welfare visits to establish if households are vulnerable.
As a Self Employed professional, you will have the opportunity to manage your own business. This role requires a high level of independence, creativity, and dedication to delivering excellent communication skills
We work on behalf of Utility companies, to make visits to households to check if there are any vulnerabilities on site, and to establish if Pay as You Go Meters could be suitably installed. Our visits must adhere to Ofgem regulations, and a full training package will be provided upon finding the right candidate.
Who would suit this role:
· This job would suit someone looking for a part time role that can give us 5-6 hours of their time a day or suitable for someone that would like to work full time hours.
· A passionate and caring person who is comfortable speaking to homeowners who are in vulnerable situations.
· Able to take photos with a mobile device and upload information of visits and voice recordings to an in-house app.
· Comfortable with recording visits on a voice recorder that we provide to our clients on visits made for safety and training purposes that also adhere to Ofgem regulations.
· previous care work or public service knowledge would be ideal
· Able to complete work with timeframes set by our clients.
· Someone who can drive or commute within a radius of their home postcode or postcodes local to them.

· Adapt to your lifestyle, so if you only want to dedicate 3 full days a week, or work in between school hours we can plan routes to suit.
· Provide letters on email for you to print that will be posted at the same time of the visit.
· Mileage returns.
· Flexible working hours.
· £8 - £15 per visit based on outcomes, and the possibility of earning up to £45 an hour based on 3 visits.
Pay: £13.98-£45.00 per hour
