Quality Specialist HACCP & Auditing
Salary £37K - £42K Depending upon Experience.
Permanent, Full-time, site-based working 07:00am – 15:00pm and 08:30am – 16:30 alternate weeks.
About the Role:
We are looking for a HACCP and Auditing Specialist, based in Rugby, to assist the delivery and administration of the site food safety programme. This role will specialise in food safety analysis for the entire site operation. The role will also develop and lead the site auditing calendar for both internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain the site HACCP system and all associated documentation.
2. Lead the internal food safety review calendar for all change activities relating to product pack and process.
3. Lead the activities and execution of the internal/external audit program.
4. Coordinate all site activities to control and rectify all non-conformances.
5. Manage and control the corrective action plans for all audit non-conformities.
6. Drive continuous improvement to site quality performance with a food safety and HACCP bias.
7. Evaluate food safety risks and implement best practice improvements through continuous improvement.
8. Conduct and arrange HACCP training for operators and HACCP team members.
9. Develop and implement site Hygiene and Quality standards.
10. Support quality incident investigations, including product traceability, quarantines, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
11. Support maintenance and calibration of site quality equipment, dealing with third-party providers and maintenance contracts.
12. Ensure quality compliance through adherence to the quality management system, auditing, change control, and SPC systems.
13. Contribute to the development of the site quality plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Proven communication skills with the ability to adapt styles to individual needs.
* Sound knowledge of food production processes and legislation.
* Computer skills required; SAP experience is an advantage.
* Proven experience in food safety management and auditing.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship building, facilitation, and communication.
* Leadership skills.
* Experience working within an FMCG environment, preferably in a Quality role.
* Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining food quality management and auditing systems.

Qualifications:
* Relevant Degree or industry experience.
* HACCP intermediate level (essential).
* Intermediate Food Hygiene.
* Lead Auditor training.
