At the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), we provide security in retirement for our members and millions of people throughout the UK who belong to defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. Through the PPF and Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), we compensate members for their pensions after the employer funding their pension becomes insolvent. In total, we look after over 400,000 members across the PPF and FAS. With over £30 billion in assets under management, our investments support long-term economic growth across the UK.
Our award-winning team of around 450 professionals has earned the IPE UK Pension Fund of the Year title three times in seven years. We work closely with government and industry partners to improve outcomes for scheme members, employers, and the broader pension system - playing a vital role in strengthening retirement security nationwide.
We’re looking for a Digital Communications Editor to join our busy and close-knit Communications team.
As Digital Communications Editor, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the PPF shows up online. You’ll create, edit and publish compelling content across our social media channels and corporate website, ensuring everything we share is engaging, timely and aligned with our strategic priorities and key milestones.
You’ll oversee our digital platforms, proactively monitoring social media activity and managing requests for website updates and improvements. Working closely with colleagues across the Communications team and the wider organisation, you’ll help protect and strengthen the PPF’s reputation and brand, ensuring our digital channels consistently reflect who we are and the vital work we do.
We’re looking for someone who brings both creativity and precision to everything you do. You’ll have hands-on experience using Sitecore (or a similar content management system), with a good eye for detail and confidence in making accurate website updates.
You’ll enjoy crafting high-quality content for corporate websites and social media channels, and be comfortable using tools such as Canva to create engaging static and video content. You'll have excellent written communication skills and be able to turn complex information into accessible and engaging content.
You’ll be someone who is committed to continuous self-development and always looking for ways to improve processes in your area. With confident interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, balancing multiple priorities and delivering tasks independently as well as collaboratively within a small, diverse team.
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with current or very recent experience working in a government public body, financial services or a relevant not-for-profit environment.
