Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Morecambe who are looking for a caring and committed Phonics Support Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger pupils and wants to play an important role in helping children build those all-important early reading skills—while also being part of a supportive classroom environment.

About the Role
This role will focus on supporting pupils with phonics and early literacy, helping them grow in confidence as readers and learners.
You will spend part of your time delivering small group and 1:1 phonics interventions, supporting children who need a little extra help to keep up or catch up. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to follow the school’s chosen phonics scheme and help monitor progress along the way.
Alongside this, you’ll also work as a general Classroom Teaching Assistant, which means you’ll be involved in day-to-day classroom life—supporting lessons, helping pupils stay engaged, and contributing to a calm, positive learning environment.
No two days will look exactly the same, which makes this a really rewarding and varied role.
