Want to make a real impact in a dynamic, fast-paced HR environment? We’re looking for a passionate and experienced HR Advisor to join our friendly and ambitious HR team on a permanent part-time basis (34 hours per week – 4 day working week opportunity).
This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of a busy HR function, supporting a wide range of services including homes & communities, care, support, and central operations. You’ll play a key role in embedding our new People Plan, driving positive cultural change, and influencing how we support and develop our people.
This role involves regular travel across our sites and services. While a driving licence isn’t essential, many of our locations are not easily reached by public transport, so being able to drive and use your own vehicle is often the most practical way to travel.
If you use your own vehicle for work, you’ll need appropriate insurance (for example business use).
If you don’t hold a licence or don’t have access to a vehicle, we’d still encourage you to apply. We’re happy to have a conversation with you about how you could still meet the travel requirements of the role.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Leading and managing a large and varied ER caseload, providing expert advice and coaching to managers.
2. Supporting and guiding change management initiatives across the organisation.
3. Partnering with managers to deliver operational HR priorities aligned with our People Plan.
4. Collaborating closely with our dedicated Recruitment and L&D teams to ensure a seamless people experience.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident and capable HR generalist who thrives in a demanding, fast-moving environment and enjoys building strong relationships. You’ll bring:
5. Proven experience in employee relations, change management, and generalist HR operations.
6. A proactive and adaptable approach, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
7. Aptitude for solving complex people issues and navigating changing circumstances.
8. CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
9. The ability to travel flexibly across our sites in South Wales.
Why Join Us?
We’re a socially conscious, not-for-profit organisation that puts people first. Here’s what we offer:
10. Hybrid working and flexible working hours to support work-life balance.
11. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), increasing with service.
12. Medicash healthcare plan and EAP support available 24/7.
13. 8% pension contributions.
14. Access to shopping discounts, cashback schemes, and family-friendly policies.
15. A strong focus on learning and development, with opportunities to grow your career.
Our Culture
We’re proud of our inclusive and supportive culture, guided by our Hafod Behaviour Framework. This is an exciting time to join us as we continually shape the future of our organisation in line with our Missions.
