Position: Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Temporary
Salary: 85- 100 per day + Holiday Pay + Additional Benefits

Location: Havering

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly school in Havering.

You will help the teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities, assisting individuals and supporting small group learning, whilst promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

You may be responsible for providing one-on-one support to children/a child with special educational needs, helping them to engage and learn in a nurturing environment with personalised education plans tailored to each child's unique needs, encouraging participation and confidence.


Responsibilities

* Assist the teacher in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities
* Support individuals and small groups during learning activities
* Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Provide one-on-one support to children with special educational needs as required


Qualifications

* Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant
* Experience of working with children who have special educational needs, especially those who can present challenges, is advantageous
* A patient and understanding approach, with the ability to adapt to the varied needs of students
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Relevant qualifications or training
