SEN Teacher (Primary – KS1/KS2)

About the School
We are a specialist primary provision in Kingston upon Thames supporting pupils aged 2–11 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and associated learning difficulties. Our school provides a highly inclusive, nurturing, and multidisciplinary environment where pupils are supported to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and physically.
The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join our team, working with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role involves delivering highly personalised learning while supporting pupils’ physical, medical, and communication needs in a safe and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP outcomes
* Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff
* Support pupils with physical and medical needs, including the use of specialist equipment
* Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Lead and deploy teaching assistants effectively
* Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
* Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with pupils with physical disabilities and/or complex needs
* Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and adaptive approaches
* Confidence working within a multidisciplinary team
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
