Applicants must be able and willing to drive our company cars, holding a full UK Driving Licence.
Experience as a Care Team Leader/Senior Support Worker with an NVQ / QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred. However, dedicated Care Assistants or Carers with a solid track record and ambition to progress are encouraged to apply. Lifeways offers excellent training and ongoing development for career growth.
As a Team Leader, you will lead and motivate a support team, ensuring delivery of excellent person-centred care to enable individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Your responsibilities include recruiting, staff supervision, conducting interviews, and providing guidance. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with staff, supported individuals, and external professionals. Good written communication and IT skills are also required for record keeping.
The individuals we support may have learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviours, and mobility issues, requiring manual handling. We seek energetic, hardworking individuals with a good sense of humour and patience. The supported individuals enjoy community activities such as shopping and outings.
