Hourly Rate: £45-54 p/h depending upon experience
My Global Defense Engineering client is looking for a Senior Development Engineer with strong Engine Transmission and/or Driveline engineering experience to join their Defense engineering team based in Shrewsbury, UK. The successful incumbent will play a leading technical role in areas such as component resourcing validation, post design services reporting, inline 6 product development and much more.
Support to planning (resource profiling and costing of verification and validation) engineering programs.
Creating detailed test plans (DVP&R) to validate complex components / assemblies
Oversee dyno / rig tests on components / assemblies and produce technical reports covering findings.
Conduct complex data analysis on test results using hand calculations and / or relevant simulation software as needed.
Engage in stakeholder reviews, presenting to colleagues of all levels across engineering and other associated departments.
Communicate complex technical information to customers, team members, suppliers and other business units as needed.
Senior level (10+ years experience) Engine transmission or driveline engineering experience would be desirable.
Data analysis/Problem solving ability. Analytical skillset – Understanding and reducing data in an efficient manner. Work is focused on analysis of data - Microsoft Office, key focus on Excel.
Proven experience in a development engineer role, ideally with engine, transmission, or driveline development experience.
Experience in product testing of either components or complete assemblies.
An accredited engineering degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent experience.
A Willingness to travel to both customer and supplier locations within the UK as needed.
