Job Description
3. Manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding and exit processes.
4. Ensure all HR practices comply with UK employment law, GDPR, and internal policy.
5. Maintain and optimise HR systems, ensuring reliable data, documentation, and reporting.
6. Oversee absence and leave management, including return-to-work and long-term absence support.
7. Work closely with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
8. Provide credible, pragmatic advice to leaders and managers on employee relations, performance and conduct.
9. Lead and resolve ER matters, ensuring fairness, consistency, and positive outcomes.
10. Coach managers to develop their people leadership capability.
11. Lead recruitment for all roles, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
12. Design and deliver onboarding processes that set new starters up for success.
13. Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities, including leadership and compliance training.
The Successful Applicant
A successful HR Generalist should have:
14. Proven experience operating in an HR generalist or standalone role
15. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
16. Demonstrable experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end
17. Confident advising and influencing managers and senior stakeholders
18. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
19. CIPD Level 7 qualification (or working towards)
