A fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join a manufacturing business based in Harlow, Essex with a salary up to £50,000.
Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a manufacturing environment, at a managerial level and be keen to progress in their career.
Role responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager include:
Lead and develop the team to ensure efficient sourcing and purchasing operations
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, terms, and service level agreements
Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align procurement activities with organisational goals
Monitor and report on procurement metrics, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
Person Specification of the Purchasing Manager:
Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
Leadership skills with the ability to oversee a small team
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with using ERP/MRP software - ideally SAP
Strong Microsoft suite experience
