The Role
As the International Senior Tax Manager you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will provide expert support to the Group Director Tax & Treasury in managing the tax risks and opportunities with primary focus on corporate tax, tax accounting, and acting in a business advisory capacity for the Global Group.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee all aspects of corporate tax compliance including country by country reporting, BEPS Pillar 2, and to recommend system improvements.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Take responsibility for the preparation of the Group Statutory Accounts tax notes
2. Manage the tax accounting process in line with relevant accounting standards, including year-end, budgeting, ETR, modelling, accounting developments and forecasting
3. Advise on systems requirements and tax technology developments
4. Work with the overseas tax advisers – including US, Australia, Canada and Germany – to monitor and control overseas tax compliance and potential permanent establishment risks
5. Work closely with the wider Tax, Finance & Business Teams and external advisors in helping to deliver the Group’s objectives, assisting with ad hoc advisory queries and undertaking relevant tax research
Essential experience of the International Tax Senior Manager:
6. Technical capability in direct tax regulations and accounting standards
7. Strong leader with effective interpersonal skills
8. Professional and self-motivated to meet tight regulatory deadlines and manage complex projects collaborating with a broad range of business contacts and advisers
9. Background knowledge in international tax regulations
Essential qualifications for the International Tax Senior Manager:
10. Professional accounting qualifications
11. Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
12. Use of Direct tax systems such as OneSource software
13. VISIO and SAP/Oracle
