Freelance Project Manager - Interior Fit-Out & Refurbishment
London / Hybrid
Immediate Start / Project-Based Contract
A fast-growing commercial interiors firm is seeking a freelance Project Manager to support the delivery of dynamic workplace fit-out and refurbishment projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead client-focused schemes that blend design innovation with functional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
 * Take full ownership of project delivery from pre-start through to handover including 4 - 5 projects
 * Liaise with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
 * Monitor budgets, timelines, and site performance, ensuring exceptional standards throughout
 * Lead on-site progress meetings, coordinate trades, and resolve delivery challenges
 * Oversee health & safety compliance and maintain project documentation
 * Ensure snagging and quality control processes are managed efficiently
Candidate Profile
 * Strong experience delivering commercial office projects (£250K-£2M+)
 * Background in fit-out, refurbishment, or workplace design (Cat A & B)
 * Confident communicator with excellent client and subcontractor management skills
 * Capable of working autonomously while contributing to broader team goals
 * Familiarity with JCT contracts and construction programmes (MS Project/Asta)
 * SMSTS / CSCS preferred
