We re offering an exciting entry level opportunity as a Trainee IT Support Assistant at our Head Office in Central Milton Keynes. Whether you re a recent graduate or someone from a customer service or call centre background looking for a career change, this is your chance to learn hands-on IT support in a supportive, people-first charity. You don t need lots of IT qualifications, just a genuine interest in technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping others. What You ll Be Doing As part of our friendly and experienced IT team, you ll support over 1800 users across MacIntyre using a range of tools including our helpdesk system, instant chat, remote access, and telephone. You ll gain real hands-on experience across: Helping staff with login issues and accessing core systems Supporting users across Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Managing user accounts creation, permissions, password resets Troubleshooting Wi-Fi, broadband and connectivity problems Escalating faults to third-party suppliers and learning from resolutions Installing and maintaining IT equipment laptops, routers, PCs, printers Supporting site relocations and the setup of new equipment Working with teams across the organisation (Data Protection, Finance, Health & Safety) You ll also learn about IT security, compliance protocols, and how IT underpins the delivery of great support to people with learning disabilities. About You You don t need to tick every box, but we d love to hear from you if you have most of the following: A genuine interest in IT and developing your skills A degree OR practical experience in a tech-savvy/customer-facing role (e.g. retail, call centre) Familiarity with Microsoft 365, especially Teams, Word, Excel and SharePoint Organised, with a logical approach to solving problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Friendly, calm under pressure, and able to explain tech simply to non-technical users Knowledge of IT concepts such as user accounts, internet connectivity, and data security A UK driving licence and access to a car (preferable but not essential) Above all, we re looking for someone who shares our values: kindness, respect, honesty and ambition.
