As part of their continued international expansion, they are now seeking a Senior Consultant to strengthen relationships within legal and financial clients across the UK and Northern Europe, while helping originate new mandates in competition and financial litigation.
Role
This position will focus on developing and strengthening relationships across the legal and disputes ecosystem, working closely with law firms, barristers’ chambers, litigation funders and regulatory bodies.The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities for economic expert engagement, helping convert complex legal disputes into analytical mandates and supporting the firm’s continued growth within competition and financial litigation.
The role is particularly suited to an economist who understands how economic analysis supports legal arguments, expert testimony and dispute resolution, and who enjoys working closely with senior legal practitioners on complex matters. This is a senior consulting position suited to lawyers or economists who are experienced in working with law firms on complex litigation and regulatory disputes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Development & Legal Engagement
* Build and strengthen relationships with law firms, barristers’ chambers, litigation funders, regulators and enforcement bodies across the UK and Northern Europe
* Identify opportunities for economic expert involvement in competition disputes, financial litigation and regulatory investigations
* Support the generation of new mandates, collaborating with internal economists to develop proposals and pitches
* Act as a key liaison between external counsel, funders and internal teams throughout engagements
Market Profile & Thought Leadership
* Represent the firm at legal, competition and disputes-focused conferences and industry events
* Contribute to thought leadership and initiatives that strengthen the firm’s visibility within the legal and disputes market
Leadership
* Support colleagues involved in client development across international offices
* Contribute to broader initiatives aimed at expanding the firm’s presence within global litigation and disputes markets
Key Skills
* Experience within a law firm economics consulting firm working directly with lawyers on damages and litigation cases
* Understanding of how economic analysis supports competition law, financial litigation or regulatory investigations
* Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with legal professionals, regulators or institutional stakeholders
* Commercially minded with a proactive approach to developing client opportunities
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex economic analysis into clear and persuasive messages for legal audiences
* Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to engage credibly with senior lawyers, economists and financial professionals
