Responsibilities
* Lead daily management of a team of Buyers, ensuring daily routines and processes within the team are followed.
* Delegate tasks effectively to support smooth team operations.
* Provide coaching, development and training support to Buyers.
* Attend daily morning site meetings and cascade key updates to the team.
* Improve Supply Chain KPIs to drive operational excellence.
* Develop and implement supply‑chain strategies aligned with operational goals and projects.
* Work closely with managers and leads across other functions to ensure seamless operations.
* Support any reasonable activity requested by the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain.
* Manage and optimise the flow of stock into the business, including inventory levels, VMI and elimination of excess or obsolete inventory.
* Lead and participate in supplier meetings, reviews and site visits.
* Deliver improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery across the supplier base.
* Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to develop and reduce the current supply base.
* Use the MRP system to manage ordering, inventory and supplier data.
