Salary: Circa £38,000 per annum

Due to continued growth in our client base, we are looking for an experienced, commercially minded HR Consultant to join our small, friendly team based in our modern offices in Euxton.
The Role
This is a busy, hands-on consulting role suited to an HR professional who enjoys working at pace with multiple clients and seeing work through from start to finish.
You will manage a varied caseload across a wide range of SMEs and sectors, delivering everything from day-to-day HR support and administration through to complex employee relations cases, including drafting bespoke contracts, policies, and employee handbooks.
You will assess each client’s situation, clearly explain their options, and support them in achieving their preferred outcome using pragmatic, commercially sound solutions. Our advice is never “one size fits all” or overly risk-averse—we focus on what works for the client, while staying compliant.
While our client solutions are creative and tailored, our internal operations are process-driven. You must be comfortable following established systems and procedures consistently to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple client cases simultaneously, from initial enquiry through to resolution
* Providing day-to-day HR advice (disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance management, restructures)
* Handling more complex employee relations cases with confidence
* Drafting and updating bespoke employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
* Building strong, trusted relationships with clients remotely and in person
* Delivering clear, practical advice supported by tailored documentation
* Accurately recording work and following internal systems, processes, and standards

About You
You are an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and enjoys balancing structure with creative problem-solving.
You will bring:
* Strong knowledge of HR and UK employment law, with the confidence to apply it pragmatically
* Experience managing HR cases end-to-end
* A consulting or multi-stakeholder background (desirable)
* CIPD qualification (or working towards), or equivalent HR experience
* Excellent written and spoken English, with a confident, friendly communication style
* Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
* Confidence following processes while thinking creatively for clients
* High levels of IT literacy (MS Office, CRM systems, and other platforms)
* A full driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and willingness to travel occasionally
You’ll be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and responding flexibly to client needs—while remaining calm, supportive, and professional.

Working Arrangements & Benefits
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (with flexibility required to meet client needs)
* Location: Office-based in Euxton with client travel
* Holiday: 33 days including bank holidays, plus your birthday off
