Our Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) team plays a crucial role in ensuring every component that goes into our cars meets the highest standards — and we’re looking for an enthusiastic STA Engineer to join us.
About the Role
As part of the STA team, you’ll be responsible for supplier quality across our entire vehicle portfolio. From new vehicle introduction through to warranty support, you’ll influence and oversee almost every stage of a car’s lifecycle.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong technical knowledge across engineering disciplines while developing advanced manufacturing and problem‑solving skills. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, managing quality concerns, driving improvements, and ensuring every part meets approval standards.

⭐ Key Responsibilities
* Manage supplier quality concerns from early development through to warranty phase
* Support approval processes for all parts, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards
* Develop strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Lead and facilitate the resolution of complex cross-functional issues
* Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and process reviews
* Support new vehicle and commodity launch activities
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience in a Vehicle Engineering or Quality function
* Familiarity with Commodity Creation and Delivery System (CCDS)
* Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and 8D problem‑solving methodology
* Proven ability to resolve complex cross-functional issues
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Highly self‑motivated and able to work independently
* Confident operating at all levels of the organisation
* Computer literate
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* No restrictions for European travel
Nice to Have
* Degree in engineering or business (desirable)
* Experience conducting supplier site assessments or audits (e.g., VDA 6.3, IATF16949)
* Resilient, enthusiastic, and able to perform under pressure
* Highly driven, results‑oriented, and agile in fast‑paced environments
* Able to balance pragmatic short‑term actions with long‑term strategic thinking

Location & Working Pattern
* Full‑time, based Midlands or North West
* 40 hour week standard shift pattern Monday - Friday
