Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit 4 Workforce Information Analysts for initial 12‑week contracts on a rate of £17.23/hour PAYE. These roles will be hybrid working in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
* Work with customers to capture requirements and provide accurate and timely information and reports for submission as part of the Board Report on behalf of HR.
* Test any new developments or changes to the HR management systems, with particular emphasis on the configuration, implementation and reporting requirements for a new Health and Safety system and upgrade of the Occupational Health system.
* Ensure the highest level of data security at all times by following agreed processes and procedures in relation to data access and provision.
* Develop and maintain a suite of data validation routines ensuring that the data within systems is accurate and up to date, including monitoring of data exchanged between systems.
* Maintain comprehensive team procedural guidance documents for all HR Management systems and regular duties performed within the HR Workforce Information and Systems team, ensuring these are shared across the team.
* Provide a comprehensive service in relation to the maintenance, development, delivery and interpretation of reports to be used by Senior Management, Scottish Executive, business users and the HR Workforce Information, Systems and Business Support Manager.
* Deal with the diverse range of requests/enquiries by all business users in a flexible manner that matches the needs of their respective divisions, while maintaining professional and courteous communications.
* Coordinate and participate in various communication groups for HR management systems and take/communicate minutes as necessary.
* Propose and contribute to possible development opportunities to the HR Systems, including participation in meetings with operational HR to discuss change requests and possible systems developments.
* Develop, evaluate and deliver data extracts from the system reporting function, ensuring effective application use to service the needs of a diverse customer base.
* Train users on the system support tasks and processes involved in HR management systems.
* Undertake annual review of all users of the HR management information system to ensure that they maintain up to date knowledge and application of processes and procedures.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience in IT related field. Experience of system maintenance and implementation. Experience of human resources systems would be highly advantageous.
* Minimum knowledge of what an HR system is and how it applies to an organisation, including the organisation’s HR direction/focus and how HR systems play a role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. Strong written communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff, with good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Self‑motivating and able to inspire confidence in the system.
* Quickly gain knowledge of how the organisation’s HR Systems link with various other applications. Understand the organisation’s policies and procedures specific to it to provide relevant and policy‑aligned advice and guidance.
* High level of speed and accuracy in data entry and in relation to the advice given to system users. Well developed keyboard skills.
