40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Competitive SalaryEligible for a bonusSodexo rewards and benefitsHybrid role - BelfastJob IntroductionWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Energy Infrastructure Consultant to join our Sustainability and Energy team.Working across a large public sector estate of more than 70 buildings and approximately 350,000m², you will provide specialist expertise in energy infrastructure, utilities, HVAC systems, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), and energy compliance. Working closely with engineers, facilities teams, contractors and client stakeholders, you will help improve energy performance, support sustainability objectives, identify energy saving opportunities, develop business cases, and support the delivery of carbon reduction initiatives. You will also play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of utility infrastructure and maintaining compliance with relevant energy legislation across the estate.What you'll do:Support the delivery of monthly, biannual, annual and biennial energy, water and waste performance reporting.Undertake energy audits and produce technical reports identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.Identify and develop energy saving initiatives, including preparing business cases and supporting project delivery teams.Manage and maintain utility contingency plans, including testing, review and reporting.Oversee compliance with Display Energy Certificate (DEC) and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirements, including quality assurance of surveys, certificates and advisory reports.Provide technical support and guidance for HVAC and Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), ensuring systems operate in line with industry best practice.Manage and respond to BEMS support requests and coordinate appropriate remedial actions.Support planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities relating to HVAC systems.Maintain accurate records of estate plant and utility infrastructure.Support estate asset management activities and contribute to long-term asset planning.Assist with utility management activities associated with site closures, utility removals and account closures.Analyse complex data from multiple sources and transform findings into meaningful insights and recommendations.Drive innovation and continuous improvement in energy, waste and water management across the estate.Maintain strong health and safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and procedures.What you bring:Essential Qualifications & ExperienceNVQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, such as Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Energy Engineering.Professional membership of a recognised institution such as CIBSE, the Energy Institute, or equivalent.Strong understanding of energy and environmental compliance requirements, including ESOS, DEC and EPC regulations.Experience carrying out energy audits and identifying energy-saving opportunities.Knowledge of carbon accounting and energy auditing methodologies, including ISO 50002, CIBSE TM22, PAS 2050 and the GHG Protocol.Experience working with HVAC systems and/or Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS).Ability to interpret technical information and communicate recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong analytical skills with experience managing large volumes of complex data.Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.Commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.DesirableCollaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities.Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.Accountable, proactive and results focused.Passionate about sustainability, energy efficiency and continuous improvement.What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
