Job Overview
We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our Prep School to provide one to one support for an individual pupil with Downs Syndrome within the classroom environment.
Day to day tasks include supporting and running interventions for the pupil in line with their individual targets and being involved in the planning and preparation of day-to-day class activities.
This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is motivated to provide a fun and stimulating environment for the child. Ideally you will have a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning and be familiar with the Foundation Stage curriculum. Experience of working with children with special educational needs or disability would be an advantage.
Salary: Starting salary discussed at interview.
Hours: Full time (8.25 am to 3.45 pm Monday to Friday), term time only, fixed term for one year in the first instance with the possibility of continuing beyond August 2026
