Installation Technician – Radio Communications Systems About the Role We are looking for a practical and motivated Installation Technician to support the deployment of two-way radio communication systems across a variety of environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on installation or construction experience who is looking to develop a long-term career within a growing technical field. You will work as part of a skilled team, installing and supporting systems designed by in-house engineers, with full training and guidance provided. Key Responsibilities * Install cabling in line with technical drawings and site plans * Mount and secure system components such as splitters, couplers, and terminations * Assist with system testing, including continuity checks and basic diagnostics * Support the installation of communication equipment and associated power systems * Record installation progress through site notes and photographic evidence * Follow established safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments * Work closely with site teams and engineers to ensure projects are delivered to specification * Assist with fault finding during installation and testing phases * Maintain tools, equipment, and site materials Skills and Experience * Comfortable using a range of hand tools and installation equipment * Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail * Willingness to work in a variety of environments, including at height or in confined spaces where required * Full UK driving licence * Relevant site certifications (e.g. CSCS/ECS or equivalent) * Experience working on construction or infrastructure sites * Basic understanding of cabling systems or low-voltage installations * Ability to interpret simple technical drawings or layouts * Awareness of health and safety practices on active sites * Experience using basic testing equipment What We Offer * Structured on-the-job training and mentorship * Clear progression opportunities within engineering and technical roles * Exposure to high-profile and varied projects * All tools, PPE, and equipment provided * Access to a company vehicle * Additional annual leave entitlement (up to 6 extra days redeemable)
