Job Description
Responsibilities
* Provide advanced level technical support for designing, maintaining, and optimizing global network security systems.
* Create and enforce global network security standards, guidelines, and procedures.
* Implement secure network architectures and solutions. Perform technology and operational risk assessments, identifying control gaps and risky or problematic configurations.
* Work with stakeholders to drive remediation of security issues.
* Promote security awareness and advise on secure operational practices across IT and the organization.
Experience/Skills Required
* Must have proficiencies:
o Expert - securing & managing Palo Alto Firewalls & Prisma Access
o Expert - network security standards, methodologies, and best practices
o Expert - knowledge of network-based vulnerabilities, threats, and risks
o Understanding of networking protocols and services
o Advanced knowledge of network access control (NAC) solutions and methodologies
o Hands-on experience in network security operations and design
* Nice to have proficiencies:
o Forescout network access control
o Web Application Firewall (F5 and/or Cloudflare)
o Secure routing & switching
o Scripting, automation & orchestration
o Threat Hunting
o Cisco ISE / RADIUS authentication
o Data center segmentation technologies
o Network authentication methodologies (PSK, certificates, SAML, etc.)
Competencies
* Must have a security mindset, well versed in general security principles and best practices.
* Ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Professional security certifications are a plus. (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, etc.)
* Ability to work within a team and with limited direction and guidance.
* Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and time management skills.
* Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Mandatory Skills: Palo Alto Networks - Firewalls.
