We are a dynamic food manufacturing business based in Cornwall, and we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join us at an exciting time. This is a unique opportunity to oversee two sites side by side, leading a small but critical team and ensuring our operations run smoothly.
The Role
As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing 3 engineers and a machine operator, maintaining machinery and equipment across both sites, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support production growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and mentoring a small engineering team
* Planning and managing maintenance schedules across two sites
* Troubleshooting and resolving machinery and equipment issues
* Driving efficiency improvements and cost-effective solutions
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
* Supporting installation of new equipment and factory expansion projects
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in engineering management in a manufacturing environment, ideally food production or FMCG
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery
* Excellent organisational and planning abilities
* Passion for process improvement and driving high standards
