Morson Edge are currently seeking a Mechanical Workshop Technician to join the team at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis based at RNAS Yeovilton.
ABOUT -
Our Base Maintenance Bays team are responsible for repairing and rectifying components to support the Wildcat and Merlin squadrons at RNAS Yeovilton. Comprising mechanical workshops, spray bay, avionics workshops, sheet metal and machine shop the teams provide spares to maintain the health of the Fleet.
Operating within a MAOS Part 145 framework, the organisation is professional and diligent, with air worthiness and health and safety paramount to its success.
PURPOSE/ ACTVITIES AND TASKS –
1. To carry out the role of Technician in the Wildcat Base Maintenance Bays (WBMB) or at other Units as directed.
2. To hold authorisations to the minimum level required by Wildcat Maintenance Support (WMS), this is to include first signature within own trade group and as detailed in WMS Operating Procedure (OP) 1103 and IAW individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
3. Maintain technical currency and authorisation through the training program and reading disseminated information.
4. Carry out tasks under supervision to include servicing, repair, modification, functional testing, general husbandry and rectification of the components within WBMB or at other Units as directed.
