Cultural Programme Manager The Fife Arms, Braemar Full-time | 42.5 hours per week (including occasional evenings & weekends) The Fife Arms is seeking an exceptional Cultural Programme Manager to lead, curate and deliver an inspiring year‑round programme of cultural events in Braemar and across Scotland. This is a unique opportunity for a creative, strategic and highly organised cultural professional to shape one of Scotland’s most distinctive arts-led hospitality environments. About the Role As Cultural Programme Manager, you will oversee the development, delivery and evaluation of cultural programming—from live music and seasonal activities to major annual events such as the Braemar Literary Festival and Burns Night. You will build partnerships across Scotland’s cultural sector, collaborate closely with internal teams, and ensure that art and culture remain central to the Fife Arms’ identity. You will also line-manage the Cultural Programming Events Host. This role is based at The Fife Arms in Braemar with some flexible remote working by arrangement. What You’ll Do Curate and deliver a dynamic year-round cultural calendar for the hotel and local community. Lead major cultural projects and festivals, fostering partnerships with artists, cultural organisations and venues. Collaborate with Marketing, Events and Hauser & Wirth on artist residencies, community engagement and guest-facing experiences. Host cultural events, support event logistics, and ensure excellent guest engagement. Manage budgets, contracts, scheduling and event administration. Research, network and champion best practice in cultural programming. About You Essential: Experience in the cultural, education or events sectors. Strong knowledge of the Scottish cultural landscape. Excellent communication, organisation and digital skills. A proactive, detail‑oriented team player with a strong work ethic. Desirable: Cultural event hosting experience. Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Marketing or related field. Proven leadership and project management experience.
