Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teachers to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Towcester and the surrounding areas. As an SEN Teacher working through Tradewind Recruitment, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of inclusive school settings, supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), speech and language difficulties, and other additional learning needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your students. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing. Depending on the placement, you may be working with small groups, within a specialist SEN provision, or supporting students in mainstream classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons for students with SEN
* Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs
* Creating a positive, structured and supportive classroom environment
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
* Monitoring and assessing student progress and adapting teaching approaches accordingly
* Contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets where required
What we are looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching or supporting students with SEN (preferred but not essential)
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching
* A genuine passion for inclusive education
