Gas Services Technician at an FE College

About the Role
Reed Further Education are working with a leading FE provider to recruit a Gas Services Technician to support the delivery of gas apprenticeship and commercial training programmes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with technical knowledge of the gas sector who enjoys working in a hands-on, workshop-based environment. Youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of practical sessions, supporting both learners and teaching staff, and maintaining high-quality, safe technical facilities.
What Youll Be Doing
As the Gas Services Technician, you will:
* Provide day-to-day support to staff and students across the gas curriculum.
* Prepare and set up workshop spaces, tools and equipment for practical lessons.
* Maintain a clean, safe and compliant workshop environment.
* Service equipment, maintain accurate service logs, and support with risk assessments.
* Manage consumables, organise stock, and coordinate resource usage effectively.
* Order, store and record materials, contributing to budget planning where required.
* Work collaboratively with the wider construction technician team.
* Engage in CPD and complete all required mandatory training.
* Contribute to wider learner-facing activities such as open events, enrolment, and other operational support where needed.
About You
Were looking for someone who:
* Has technical experience or understanding of the gas sector.
* Works well in a fast-paced environment and can prioritise effectively.
* Communicates confidently with both staff and learners.
* Takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised and high-quality workshop space.
* Understands or is willing to learn the operational requirements of FE delivery.
* Is committed to safeguarding, Health & Safety, and continuous improvement.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
