The Role
We are looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 2-4 years of post-qualifying experience to join our highly effective team working on an extremely varied and interesting workload which includes disputes relating to commercial, contractual, shareholder/director/partnership, restraint of trade, reputation management, data protection and privacy, insolvency and debt, professional negligence and education matters.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, and experience of GDPR/IP disputes.
The Team
We are a Chambers ranked litigation team handling a wide range of commercial and other disputes, comprising 8 Solicitors, 1 Trainee Solicitor and 4 support team members.
Key objectives and responsibilities
· Provide high quality legal advice to clients
· Meet deadlines
· Demonstrate a commercial approach in the handling of client matters Taking client instructions
· Take responsibility for matters (subject to supervision) from the outset
· Providing legal and practical advice
· Attending clients and court
· Obtaining factual and expert evidence
· Instructing counsel
· Contribute to marketing and business development activities
· Attend legal and skills training programmes to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
Experience
· The following is a necessity
o Commercial litigation experience
o A firm grasp of contract law
o Proficiency in standard IT applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
· Experience in the following areas would be considered a bonus
o Reputation management
o Data protection and privacy
o Using the High Court CE filing system

· Familiarity with the Civil Procedure Rules
