Our Consumer Packaging business in Europe supplies paper-based packaging, leaflets and labels for a wide variety of household names in industries such as food and beverage, healthcare, beauty and personal care, premium wines and spirits, and much, much more. Overview
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for efficacy, leadership and driving results. We are on the lookout for a Supply Chain Team leader that will lead and motivate a team to deliver on all supply chain operations.
The Role
1. Responsible for working capital control and cost management.
2. Drive a team to achieve budgeted level of Raw Material stock.
3. Review aged stock controls with the team and report this on a weekly/monthly basis.
4. Review planning board on a daily basis to ensure all requirements from the team are being met.
5. Identify possible cost savings by sourcing the best possible suppliers and outworkers in relation to price, quality, and ability to deliver high quality product and service within the desired/agreed timescales.
6. Participate in and contribute to Continuous Improvement projects at department or site level.
7. Responsible for supporting third party warehouse and assess any possible cost savings.
8. Responsible for the management of outwork services or operations
9. Initiate technical complaints and supplier claims.
10. Manage stock resale options.
11. Authorise customers/suppliers’ invoices.
12. Review and update work instructions/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
13. Developing and building good relationships with multiple suppliers and customers
14. Attend supplier offices for reviews/training when needed.
15. Communicate throughout the different departments and levels of business to ensure they are aware of any changes/developments at the quickest possible opportunity.
16. Liaise with the production and warehouse teams on a daily basis.
17. Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
18. Previous leadership experience in a supply chain role in a distribution/high volume manufacturing environment
19. Knowledge of good manufacturing practice and quality standards
20. Methodical approach to undertaking tasks
21. Problem solving skills.
22. Excellent interpersonal skills
23. The ability to lead by example.
24. Logical/Rational approach to problem solving.
