The role of SOE is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
We're looking for caring and compassionate RN's, Midwives, RMNs, or Paramedics to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Performing forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
* Developing forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
* Working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
* Serving as the first point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
* Managing and promoting the self-referral pathway.
* Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
* Supporting the quality improvement of the service.
* Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
* Obtaining consent for health and forensic procedures.

Job responsibilities
Location: West Yorkshire SARC, with additional locations in North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, and Humberside.
Salary: £43,005.07 FTE based on 40 hours/week.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with 32 hours/week available.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic qualification.
* Females only due to the nature of the role, under the Sex Discrimination Act.
* UK driving license and access to a vehicle required for travel.
* Advanced DBS and police vetting required.
Experience
* Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and autonomous working.
