An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a forward-thinking, family-run farming business. Based on a mixed farm in Shropshire, this hands-on role centres around supporting the daily operations of a 250kW anaerobic digestion (AD) plant as well as undertaking tractor driving responsibilities. About the Role: You'll be responsible for day-to-day tasks at the AD plant, including feeding the system using a telehandler, monitoring performance, recording data, and performing routine maintenance. The role also includes seasonal and ongoing work in the arable enterprise over almost 1000 acres of cereals, renewable and grassland. You'll undertake cultivations, digestate spreading, and trailer work during harvest. There's opportunity to undertake and learn in other areas such as spraying, drilling etc. No prior experience with AD plants is required and full training can be provided to the right candidate, however would be preferable. Previous experience in agriculture or a relevant industrial/engineering setting, and a good practical understanding of machinery, would be advantageous.
