3-6 month interim role: Bristol Job title: Senior commercial finance analyst (interim) Location: Bristol-based role Hybrid working: 2 days office-based/ 3 days from home Start date: September 2025 onwards What you’ll be doing You’ll provide financial and analytical support to the trading team, producing weekly routine reports along with seasonal and promotional analysis. You will also support in the production of month-end accounts, including journal processing and reconciliations and support with audit requirements, and ensure a clean cut-off at half year and year-end. Daily & Weekly reporting of business performance Ad-hoc seasonal reporting for key trading periods Month-end reporting including processing journals, reconciling balances, and interpreting variances for various P&L lines Support with production of monthly board packs Support with the planning cycles (budgets & forecasts) Ad-hoc analysis & modelling relevant to the role Driving the transition from manual sales reporting to automated reports Other tasks appropriate to the role to support the finance and trading teams What we’re looking for Qualified accountant: ACA/CIMA/ACCA Hybrid working (min. 2 days in the Bristol office) Commercial Finance experience in retail or e-commerce sectors would be useful Demonstrated analytical and financial acumen in delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, as well as month-end reporting Thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines Advanced Excel Skills If you are immediately available for interim/ contract finance & accounting roles, please reach out to Charles Maidment from the Hays finance team to review/ discuss next steps. 4723387
