£50,000 - £55,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Private Healthcare + Discretional Company Performance Bonus
Are you a Quality Assurance Manager or similar from a Wholesale and Manufacturing background, preferably with experience working with Chinese manufacturers/factories, looking for a role at a leading Manufacturer of bespoke seasonal products? This company has grown steadily and is seeking to add a new role to their skilled and friendly team.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all consumer products comply with UK safety legislation, labeling requirements, and quality standards, preparing and maintaining technical documentation, liaising with external clients, national accounts and suppliers, and training and mentoring current employees in the QA department. Occasional travel to China is expected, around 2 to 3 times a year.
The Role
* Running and managing a Quality Assurance department, including the Far East Team
* Ensuring consumer products comply with UK legislation and quality standards
* Occasional travel to China, around 2 to 3 times a year
* Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems in line with UK product safety regulations and internal quality objectives
* Ensure all consumer products meet applicable standards (e.g. EN 71 for toys, BS EN 60598 for lighting) and carry the appropriate UKCA marking
* Lead the preparation for and management of product testing, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support product development from a compliance and quality perspective
The Person
* Quality Assurance Manager or similar from a Wholesale and Manufacturing background
* Experience with Chinese manufacturers/factories
* Happy to travel to China 2 to 3 times a year
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Product Safety, Engineering, Quality Management)
* Experience working with lighting, seasonal decorations, toys, or other regulated consumer products
